GLOBAL-AGE: The Gay, Lesbian Or Bisexual ALliance At GE

Our Vision

Connect a full spectrum of people to recognize each gay, lesbian, transgendered, and bisexual employee as an integral part of GE by valuing and developing the total person.

Our Mission

Serve as a resource to GE to achieve workplace diversity and employee productivity goals by increasing awareness of sexual orientation issues in the workplace and promoting GE as a business that recruits and retains top talent regardless of sexual orientation.

Encourage professional and personal growth of LGBT employees through professional and social networking activities, mutual support, and community service opportunities.

Accelerate the cultural change necessary to allow each employee to achieve full potential and to contribute to the business in a safe, equitable work environment.

Our Foundation

"GE has to be the employer of choice. I think it always has to be a place where people feel like they can live their dreams, where we can recruit the best, where we are constantly working on leading edge ideas and developing people, where it's diverse - that everybody that come through the door feels like they can get any job that's out there - and where we can continue to make it a vibrant culture, where people learn from each other and really look forward to going to work everyday."
Jeffrey R. Immelt, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

"I would like to see us create a culture where all our associates - from the day they walk in our door, and regardless of their color, gender, national origin or whatever the human difference - are made to feel wanted, included and valued part of the GE family". "If we create this type of inclusive atmosphere, we will not only make our members feel more welcome, we will begin to more quickly benefit from their brains, their energy and that passion for winning that characterizes the best GE teams."
Jack Welch, Former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
